New Hard Rock Music: Red Measure

New hard rock music band Red MeasureIt’s hard to say what I really like about Red Measure. They remind me of Queens of the Stone Age a bit and a bit of early Filter, or even Nirvana with their droning, almost monk-like singing. I’m tempted to say they are garage rock, but that’s not true either because I can’t imagine anyone playing this kind of music out of a garage in suburbia.

What I can say about Red Measure is that they are a pretty damn good band. If you’re in the mood for some heavy, lumbering rock these guys have the measure for your pleasure. With punk, grunge, and even some doom metal influences, Red Measure is everything new hard rock should be.

Red Measure released their first EP, Seven Inch, in September of last year. Check it out!
