New Music: Cristina Kiseleff

The european craze of combining virtuosic electric violin with DJ/electronic dance music is alive in Bucharest violinist Cristina Kiseleff. Her short staccato lines reverberate over intense beats and deep bass from several european DJs; while it may look and sound effortless, this kind of thing isn’t easy to pull off. Combine that with high production value and the fact that she is a beautiful person, and this act is really fun to watch and listen to.

She’s received a lot of attention for her live act having performed in the famed Dranouter Festival in Belgium and Sweden’s Falun Folkmusic Festival. She’s toured extensively throughout Europe, South Africa and Zambia – and it’s just a matter of time before her tracks hit the clubs in the U.S. as well. Let’s help her break into the market by spreading this crazy cool video around.
